From the other end it's all contra jour and virtually colourless. You've clearly done your homework on that spot :)Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17909161522406304080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3729131942320060374.post-46147821118382593872012-06-04T19:35:09.258+11:302012-06-04T19:35:09.258+11:30Thanks Peter. It's a good spot up there on the bridge when the sun is out around late morning.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17909161522406304080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3729131942320060374.post-32164590004583791922012-06-04T19:21:53.019+11:302012-06-04T19:21:53.019+11:30Cracking good paintings David - love the sparkle o...Cracking good paintings David - love the sparkle on the first one, captured very economically - wish I could do it that fast myself! The light is better there in the morning and it's good at the Kew Bridge end in the evening.Roy Connellyhttp://www.royconnelly.com/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3729131942320060374.post-18214885491362710652012-06-01T10:11:12.049+11:302012-06-01T10:11:12.049+11:30Cheers Roy. Oliver's island didn't look so interesting in the morning light but as the day went on it got better and better. I'd imagine in the evening light it's probably at its best.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17909161522406304080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3729131942320060374.post-82277282407858117742012-06-01T10:08:31.276+11:302012-06-01T10:08:31.276+11:30Thanks Douglas. It would've been rather annoying if I'd painted the other elements and was then left with a gaping hole to fill on the canvas. The sparkly light on the water moved fast too and within about 20 mins it had completely goneDavidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17909161522406304080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3729131942320060374.post-83272841677018810272012-06-01T10:07:30.307+11:302012-06-01T10:07:30.307+11:30Thanks Adebanji! Not so peaceful up there with all the traffic streaming past but it's often the case....the subject looks calm and tranquil but you're actually surrounded by mayhem!Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17909161522406304080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3729131942320060374.post-15676079390059671972012-05-31T20:41:16.924+11:302012-05-31T20:41:16.924+11:30Nice work David. I recognize several from their blogs and your other posts. No Valerie at this outing?Douglas Clarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13814926126903308566noreply@blogger.com
